NTU Convocation

I went for my brother's convocation at Nanyang Technology University today. He is now a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Digital Animation degree holder. Proud of him for making it this far.

2D Fundamentals - Lines

2D Fundamentals lesson and it was about lines and drawing different type of lines - thick, thin, straight, curved etc.

Workshop Induction

I usually have no lessons on Monday but on this Monday I attended Photography and Textile workshop.

Think

• I think that I learnt more about Photograhpy and Textile when I attended this workshop. Having quite a good amount of knowledge about photography, given that I took a photography module before in my previous school, it was more of a "refreshment" class to me. However for the Textile workshop, it was learning something new that I was never exposed to before.
• I think that I gained more knowledge by attending the workshops

Wonder

• I wonder what if I didn't attend those workshops, what would happen in the future? Since it is compulsory to attend
• I wonder if would ever have the textile knowledge in the future

Singapore Art Museum

Singapore Art Musuem

While we had our three hour long break while waiting for the next lesson, me and my friends decided to go to the Singapore Art Museum to see some artworks and take photos at the photobooth to kill time. For this image above, the ship was made out of different mediums, different materials. Most of it was made out of cloth, ropes and cloth with different textures.

Think

• I think that this art piece was very well made, thus it might be one of the reasons why it is exhibited in the Singapore Art Musuem, secondly because it fits the theme that the Singapore Art Musuem is currently exhibiting at that point of time

Wonder

• I wonder how the outcome would be like if the artist did not use cloth or ropes but instead used other materials 
• I wonder how the outcome would be like if the artist did the same image but used other materials other than cloth and ropes
• I wonder if this art work would be well received if it is being displayed somewhere else?
